Allan Brooks Nature Center
Located just 5 minutes from downtown Vernon, with its spectacular views of Greater Vernon and the 3 surrounding lakes, it is a great place to experience the diverse nature of the North Okanagan – A very popular attraction for bird & outdoor enthusiasts.

Canadian Wildlife Museum
The vision for the Canadian Wildlife Museum started in October 1993. Master Taxidermist Ken Schultz worked on this project for twenty eight years. Some of the scenes in the Museum took as much as six months full time labor to create and complete, for just one scene alone.

Downtown Murals
Twenty-seven amazing murals, some as large as 300 feet long and 40 feet high, depict the history, culture, scenery and folklore that made Vernon what it is today. Group tours available.

Okanagan Science Centre
The Interior Space and Science Centre (formerly the Vernon Science Centre) opened in October 1990 in the TOLKO building in downtown Vernon. We relocated to the heritage Park School in Polson Park in March of 1997. OSC offers a unique collection of hands-on exhibits that are based on scientific principles including Sound, Electricity and Magnetism, Light and Optics, Mechanics, Astronomy and Space Science.

Membership is FREE to people within our library regions, giving you access to the 16th largest library in Canada.

Vernon Museum & Archives
Explore our heritage further at the Greater Vernon Museum and Archives, where an impressive collection of artifacts is cleverly displayed to demonstrate a wealth of natural history, native history, and modern growth and development in the region. The museum offers a great gift shop, with an array of mementos and books for further reading.
